EGYPT, Alexandria. Pescennius Niger. 193-194 AD. BI Tetradrachm (11.30 gm, 12h). Date uncertain. Laureate head right / Elpis walking left, holding flower and lifting hem of chiton. Unpublished in the standard references. Good VF on obverse, reverse heavily corroded. Extremely rare, with an extensive pedigree. ($1000)
