[Antiquities] MODERN ERA. Eastern European gold religious medallion. Circa 18th-19th century. Diameter 35mm, weight 9.31 gm. Facing bust of bishop wearing robes and tall mitre, holding crozier; in linear frame surrounded by four doves and rosettes / Triptych shrine or icon frame with crown and stars above; all in wreath. Made of two thin sheets of gold soldered together with tubular hanger. Probably a wedding medallion. Fine condition, a few flaws as made. ($500)
