KINGS of BAKTRIA. Eukratides I. Circa 171-145 BC. AR Drachm (1.42 g, 12h). Bilingual series. Helmeted, diademed, and draped bust right / The Dioskouroi standing facing, holding spears; monogram to right. Bopearachchi Série 17A (same obv. die); SNG ANS -; CNG 69, lot 808 (same dies). VF, dark patina, delaminations on obverse, two spots of encrustation. Extremely rare, the third known example. ($2000)

Bilingual drachms of Eukratides are extremely rare, with only six examples known to Bopearachchi, of which only one had this particular monogram. Bopearachchi noted that this monogram was unknown among all the other bilingual coinages of Eukratides.
