[Antiquities] ROMAN. Bronze belt plate. 3rd-4th century AD. Length 65mm, height 35mm. A cast open work bronze belt plate, with a design of a prancing horse framed by two columns with Corinthian capitals. The sturdy work horse bridled, with saddle secured by belly band and crupper. Two studs for attachment to the belt. Probably a late legionary artifact. Good condition, brown and green patina. ($200)
