Diademed head of Antiochos I right / BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, Herakles seated left on lion skin draped over rock, resting his right hand on club set on ground; amphora to outer left, monogram in exergue. SC 500.1b; WSM 1525 var. (position of monogram); cf. SNG Spaer 372; Houghton 629 var. (monogram); SNG Copenhagen 100. Superb EF, attractive light toning. Struck from artistic dies in high relief. Very rare. ($7500)

Compared to the other published coins from this mint, the dies used to strike this particular example are of exceptional quality, and are probably the product of a master engraver.
