CELTIC, Lower Danube, Uncertain tribe. 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 16.54 g, 10h). Philip III imitative type. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; “die break” connecting nose to outer circle / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monograms in left field, Z below throne. Lanz 904; CCCBM I S191; cf. KMW 1468. Good VF, toned. Well struck for issue.



The “die break” on the obverse of these types was intentionally engraved into the die for unknown reasons.
