Bare-headed and draped bust right / Apollo seated left, holding branch and resting arm on lyre. RIC IV 215 (Decius); Banti 3. VF, brown patina, a few minor flan flaws, slight die shift on reverse.
This sestertius was struck with a reverse type of Hostilian’s brother, Herennius Etruscus. Hybrids of this nature were common in from the time of Philip I to Trebonianus Gallus.
