KINGS of MACEDON. Time of Philip V and Perseus. 187-168 BC. AR Diobol (1.19 g, 3h). Pella or Amphipolis mint; Ar-, magistrate. Struck circa 187-184 BC. Macedonian shield; on boss, MA-KE above and below club / Macedonian helmet; two monograms to left, monogram and caduceus to right. SNG Ashmolean -; AMNG III p. 1, 2 and pl. II, 10 (same dies). VF, lightly toned, hairline flan crack. Extremely rare, only one example in Berlin, none in published collections.
