SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.63 g, 8h). Uncertain mint 6A (in Babylonia). Struck in the name of Alexander III of Macedon, circa 311-305 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; anchor and monogram in left field, monogram below throne. SC 67.4 var. (secondary control); Price 3443-3444 var. (same). Good VF, lightly toned. Unpublished with this monogram below the throne.



The monogram is present in the following group, SC 67.5b, but with a slightly different monogram in the left field.
