TUDOR. Henry VII. 1485-1509. AR Halfgroat (1.59 g, 9h). Facing bust issue, class IIa. Canterbury mint, Archb. Morton; mm: none. Struck 1488-1489. Crowned facing bust in tressure of arches; two arches to crown, outer jeweled; crosses flanking neck, pellet stops, ‘eye’ after GRA / Long cross, large m in center; trefoils in quarters. SCBI 23 (Ashmolean), 528 (same obv. die); North 1711; SCBC 2208. VF, toned. Attractive bust.
