SICILY, Tauromenion. Roman rule. After 216/2 BC. Æ 24mm (8.10 g). Head of Athena right, wearing single-pendant earring, necklace and crested Corinthian helmet / Pegasos flying left. CNS p. 224, 35 OS = Virzi 2049 (this coin); SNG ANS 1149. Good VF, dark green patina. Overstruck on an earlier issue of Tauromenion, Herakles/Bull (CNS III p. 218, 19).
