LOKRIS, Lokris Opuntii. Circa 356-338 BC. AR Tetradrachm (12.00 g, 11h). Wreathed head of Persephone left, wearing triple pendant earring and necklace / Ajax advancing right, nude but for crested Corinthian helmet, holding sword and shield decorated with griffin; star to lower right, broken spear below. Wartenberg 6-7 (same rev. die); SNG Copenhagen -; Gulbenkian 491 (same dies). Good VF, lightly toned, light scratch on obverse. Struck from artistic dies.
