Engraved frontispiece depicting triumphal arch framing classical landscape with Father Time and Fortuna, engraved titlepage, iv, 132 pages, with 131 wood-cut plates. Text in Latin. A history of the Roman emperors, from Augustus to Magnentius and Decentius, illustrated with large bronzes- Imperial sestertii, medallions and large Provincial Æ. Quarto, early calfskin covers, blindstamped decoration, with gilt spine tile and raised bands. Fair condition, covers detached and repaired. scattered light foxing.
