PHOENICIA, Tyre. ‘Uzzimilk. Circa 347-332 BC. AR Didrachm (19mm, 8.71 g, 12h). Dated year 10 (341/0 BC). Diety riding hippocamp right; two waves below; below waves, dolphin right / Owl standing right, head facing; crook and flail over shoulder, date to right. Betlyon 37 and n. 112, f; SNG Copenhagen -; BMC 36 corr. (date). Good VF, lightly toned, small flan crack, scratches, minor die rust. Well struck on good metal for issue.
The majority of ‘Uzzimilk’s coinage is very poor metal, and often plated. The edge splits on the present coin ensure that this is not a plated specimen, and is of much better than average metal.
