INDIA, Post-Kushan (Samatata). Kushan imitative. Vira Jadamarah. Late 2nd-early 3rd century AD. AV Dinar (6.39 g, 12h). Early coinage. “...Jadaymun(?),” in eastern Brahmi, king standing facing, head left, flame at shoulder, sacrificing over altar with right hand and holding trident in left / “Vira Jadamarah,” in eastern Brahmi up left field, nimbate goddess (Ardoxsho or Nana) standing right, holding cornucopia in both hands, scepter in right hand. Cf. LOW 23 = HCSEA 63 = ATEC 5232 = MACW 4657; cf. Spink-Taisei 9, lot 17. Near EF, Struck with dies of fine style and very rare.
