City view of Amsterdam, with ships in harbor; city goddess seated in foreground, two lions to either side holding coats of arms; radiate hwhy above, three cherubs holding banners in sky; all within wreath of 36 coats of arms representing the city councillors / QUONDAM FUIT HÆC SAPIENTIA, new city hall; Nieuwe Kerk to right, large crowd in Dam Square below, Hermes flying left in sky above, Amphion seated right in foreground playing lyre, ruins of the old city hall beside him; coat of arms above.
