RUSSIA, Tsars of Russia. Nikolai I Pavlovich. 1825-1855. AV 5 Roubles (6.51 g, 12h). Sankt-Peterburg (St. Petersburg) mint; Paul Danilov, mintmaster. Dated 1827. “Five Roubles. Year 1827” in Cyrillic, double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding one end of banner, lightning bolts and flaming torches in right talon, and wreath and other end of banner in left; mintmaster’s initials under each end of banner / “Unalloyed/Gold/1 Zloty=/39 Dolyas”/(ornamental spacer)/mintmark in Cyrillic in six lines across field; all within olive and oak wreath; imperial crown above.
