RUSSIA, Tsars of Russia. Nikolai I Pavlovich. 1825-1855. AV 5 Roubles (6.55 g, 12h). Kolyvan Mines issue. Sankt-Peterburg (St. Petersburg) mint; Pavl Danilov, mintmaster. Dated 1832. Crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb, coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei the First Called on breast; arms of Kazan, Astrakhan, and Novosibirsk on right wing, Kingdom of Poland, Crimea, and Grand Duchy of Finland on left; imperial crown above; mintmaster’s initials flanking tail / (eight-petaled flower) “Unalloyed gold 1 Zlotnik 39 Dolyas, (rosette) 5 (rosette)/Roubles”/(ornamental spacer)/1832/mintmark in Cyrillic in five lines across field; “From the Kolyvan gold deposits” in Cyrillic in arc above value.
