Dated 1923. “One Chervonets 1923” in Cyrillic, sower, barefoot, standing facing, head right, broadcasting newly-plowed field; sun rising in horizon; to left, plow right; to left, factory in operation / “Workers of the World, Unite!” in Cyrillic, arms of Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic: shield decorated with hammer and sickle set over rising sun; all within grain ear wreath and set on ornate tablet inscribed ê.ë.F.ë.ê. On edge: “Unalloyed gold 2 Zolotnik 78,24 Dolyas” (mintmaster’s initials) in Cyrillic. Friedberg 181; KM (Y)85. In an NGC slab graded PF 65. Extremely rare and the only specimen of this quality to be offered for some time.
