Romanus III Argyrus. 1028-1034. AV Histamenon Nomisma (24.5mm, 4.40 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing / Romanus, placing hand on breast and holding globus cruciger, standing facing, being crowned and blessed by the Theotokos, nimbate; five pellets in loros end; MΘ, with macron above, in upper field. DOC 1b; Füeg II 1.D.5.z; SB 1819. Slight underlying luster, thin die breaks. Good VF. An attractive example in hand.
