Uncertain Palaeologan Ruler. temp.Andronicus II-John VI, circa 1282-1354. Æ (15mm, 0.69 g). Uncertain mint. Crowned facing figure of emperor, wearing loros, holding labarum-tipped scepter / Cross within border of four alternating B’s and stars. DOC –; LPC–; cf. PCPC 384 (Sub-Byzantine; for similar type); SB –. Dark green patina, cleaning scratches. Near VF.

An interesting unpublished issue of an uncertain Palaeologan ruler, identifiable as such by the obverse legend. This issue features some similarities to issues ranging from the reign of Andronicus II to the reign of John VI.
