PHOENICIA, Tyre. Valerian I. AD 253-260. Æ (28mm, 12.82 g, 12h). Radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Cadmus advancing right with foot on prow, looking back and directing unseen comrades with right hand, holding spear and drapery in left; to left, murex shell. Rouvier 2505-6. Dark brown patina, flan preparation marks, light porosity, minor smoothing, flan flaws on reverse. Good Fine. Very rare.
