1) THRACE, Philippopolis. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ (30mm, 18.28 g, 6h). L. Pullaienus Gargilius Antiquus, legatus Augusti pro praetore provinciae Thraciae. Struck AD 161. Laureate head right / River-god Hebrus reclining left, holding grain ears, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Varbanov, Philippopolis VI.28.3.5 (O2/R5); Mouchmov, Philippopolis 42; RPC IV.1 Online 7415; Varbanov 676. Red-green patina, light roughness. Near VF.

2) THRACE, Philippopolis. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ (31mm, 18.58 g, 12h). L. Pullaienus Gargilius Antiquus, legatus Augusti pro praetore provinciae Thraciae. Struck AD 161. Laureate head right / River-god Hebrus reclining left, holding grain ears, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Draped bust right / River-god Hebrus reclining left, holding reed and cornucopia, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Laureate head right / River-god Hebrus reclining left and resting hand on urn from which water flows, placing right hand on prow of ship.
