POTTERY. Magna Graecia. Apulia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (135 mm tall x 155 mm wide). A squat flatfooted kantharos in Blackware with trumpeted cup and rounded lip. Two high handles extend from the lip to the very base of the body of the cup. Unusually, the bottom of the base is painted with concentric circles. Minor inclusions. Patina present. Some minor paint loss due to use. |
