Body of St. Stephen entombed right beneath nine stones and curved arch reading S–STЄPHANVS PROT; three angels above / Incuse of obverse. Grierson, Coins of Medieval Europe 176; Kestner 1297-1302; Bonhoff 463-4. Toned, some weakness. VF. Lot includes an old Dr. Busso Peus ticket.
