KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.97 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in Thrace. Struck circa 285-281 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; herm to inner left. Fischer-Bossert, Lysimacheier 23a (V6/R20 – this coin, illustrated); Thompson –; Müller –; cf. HGC 3, 1750 (unlisted mint). Light iridescent tone, traces of find patina, light cleaning scratches, die rust on obverse. EF.
