YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (26mm, 2.98 g, 12h). Light coinage, type VIIb. York mint; mm: lis. Struck 1467-1470. Crowned facing bust, with Є on breast and quatrefoils to left and right of neck; all within tressure of arches, with trefoils in spandrels / Long cross pattée, with three pellets in each quarter. Blunt & Whitton type VIIb; North 1583; SCBC 2012. VF, toned.
