MACEDON, Chalkidian League. Circa 383-379. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 14.68 g 2), Olynthos. Laureate head of Apollo to left, his hair falling down the back of his neck. Rev. ΧΑΛΚΙΔΕΩΝ Kithara with seven strings, and with a small tripod above the cross bar. Robinson & Clement Group M 75 (dies A49//P68). SNG ANS 484 (same dies). SNG Berry 19 (same obverse die). An attractive and toned coin with an elegant head of Apollo. Some very minor die rust on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
