PADUAN MEDALS. Lucius Verus. AD 161-169. Cast Orichalcum “Medallion” (37mm, 39.85 g, 7h). After Giovanni Cavino, 1500-1570. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Jupiter, holding scepter and baton, seated slightly right on seven hills of Rome, receiving Victory from emperor, who stands left; to right, Virtus standing left, crowning emperor with wreath. Johnson & Martini 1759; cf. Klawans 1; cf. Lawrence 60 (all refs. for type). Good VF, brown surfaces with orichalcum highlights. Attractive early cast.
