Lower Egypt or Levant. Circa 1800-1500 BC. Blue-glazed steatite scarab (20x15mm). Base with Western Semitic-style engraving mimicking an Egyptian glyphos of a falcon sitting on the hieroglyph
nb, the two meaning “Lord Horus”; four leaves around. Back with simple carving of head and clypeus of scarab. Pierced for suspension. Blue glaze only preserved on base, otherwise good condition.
