Blue-green faience amulet of Bes. Egypt, Late Period, 664-332 BC. An amulet of a nude, standing Bes, his arms at side, wearing a painted, feathered crown and a long beard. Suspension loop at back of head. Height: 4.6cm. Intact. A very fine example with well-preserved glaze and paint. Cf. Petrie, Amulets pl. XXXIII, 188u.
