MAXIMUS, Caesar. 236-238 AD. Æ Sestertius (29mm, 22.97 gm). Struck 236-237 AD. Bare-headed and draped bust right, seen from behind / Maximus standing left, holding baton in right hand and transverse spear with point downward in left; two standards behind to right. RIC IV 13; MIR 27, 37-5; Cohen 14. VF, brown patina, some microscopic granularity but overall quite pleasing.
