ATTICA, Athens. Circa 454-404 BC. AR Drachm (13.5mm, 4.10 g, 1h). Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. Kroll 10; HGC 4, 1631. Good VF, toned, porous, edge splits.

The style of this piece and deep incuse on the reverse suggests that this drachm was struck early in the long classical period production that lasted from circa 454-405 BC.
