Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; countermark on portrait(?) / Neptune advancing right, head left, holding trident and grasping arm of the nymph Beröe kneeling left, head right, [holding small flower basket]. Cf. Sawaya 1784-5 for type; Rouvier 578. Fine, rough green and brown patina with some earthen highlights/deposits.
