Egypt. Late Dynasties Period. 664-332 BC. Faience amulet of Tawaret (6.7cm tall with stand, amulet 3.5cm). Light blue-green faience Tawaret, goddess of childbirth and fertility, with the head of a hippopotamus. Suspension hole at back. Old wooden mount, bottom has writing in pencil and a sticker marking the piece “014”. Minor wear to glaze, traces of deposits.
