YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (28mm, 3.12 g, 9h). Light coinage, type Xa. London (Tower) mint; im: long cross fitchée/sun. Struck 1469-1470. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; trefoils flanking neck; saltire and double saltire stops / Long cross pattée, triple pellets in quarters. North 1577; SCBC 2003. Iridescent tone. Near EF. Most attractive.
