HADRIAN. 117-138 AD. Æ Sestertius (32mm, 23.98 g). Struck circa 132-135 AD. Laureate bust right, slight drapery on left shoulder / Galley sailing left, with six rowers and hortator in stern cabin; standard, and vexillum at stern. RIC II 706; BMCRE 1403 var. (five rowers); Cohen 664 var. Fine/Near VF, dark green patina, some roughness.

From the Tony Hardy Collection.

It could perhaps be possible to spend a lifetime collecting nothing but the galley reverses of Hadrian, as virtually every die appears to be a slightly different variety.
