Head of young Herakles right, wearing lion’s skin headdress; OPΛANΩN to right / Barley-ear with leaf to right; club in left field; [T]PEIBIOY to left, PAIC monogram to right. HN Italy 2674 (Uncertain Issues); SNG ANS 776-7. Green patina, double struck on reverse. VF. Very rare.

Despite being inscribed with three distinct words, the mint of this coin has never been identified. The names, if that is what they are, do not link with any known topographical feature in south Italy.
