Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Salus seated left, feeding from patera a serpent coiled around and rising from altar to left and resting left arm on chair. RIC IV 14; BMCRE 22; RSC 85. Toned, traces of deposits. Good VF. An early portrait of Maximinus I, resembling Severus Alexander, before the die engravers knew what he looked like.
