SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. Second satrapy and kingship, 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 16.96 g, 5h). Contemporary imitation of Susa mint issue struck circa 300-295 BC. Head of hero (Alexander or Seleukos?) right, wearing helmet covered with panther skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / Nike standing right, placing wreath on trophy; Aramaic shin above, monogram to lower left, monogram in lower middle field. For prototype: cf. SC 173.5b; cf. HGC 9, 20; otherwise, unpublished. Faintly toned, area of weak strike, double struck on obverse. Good VF. Extremely rare.
