TERRACOTTA. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (12.0 CM) A large bread stamp with a small foot and square impression in the center of the back of the piece. On the stamp itself, a scene of three women with hair raised in buns rest their hands on a ledge or table. The central section has a central indentation with a faint cross and border of triangles and dots. Both sides are ridged. The lower portion of the seal shows two lotus flowers to either side of a central ribbed square of vertical striations. A tag on the back notes Kush. 224. With a small case with glass lid.
