STATUARY. CHINA. In the style of the Tang Dynasty. Mold formed hollow body statue 195 mm tall by 55 mm wide. A Tang Dynasty court attendant figure, depicted standing in traditional attire. The figure features a rounded face with subtle, worn facial details. The hair is styled in a high bun, covered by a traditional headdress, characteristic of the period. The figure’s hands are held close to the body, with the right hand partially raised. The figure’s robe is simple yet elegant, with traces of the original pigment still faintly visible. The surface shows signs of significant wear, with much of the original detail softened over time.
