Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (19mm, 4.39 g, 12h). Uncertain mint. VIC TORIA CARAV[...] , radiate and cuirassed bust right, holding spear over shoulder / [V]IR TV S AVG, Pax standing left, holding olive branch and vertical scepter. RIC V –. Dark olive brown-green patina, obverse die break, slightly off center. VF. Very rare. Unusual with the legend for Virtus paired with the figure of Pax.
