Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Facing figures of Leo I and Anthemius, both wearing military attire and holding spear, together holding globus cruciger between them; *//CORMOB. RIC X 2824 var. (obv. legend break); Lacam Type III-(VI), Classe II, variété 3 and pl. 26, 56 var. (same); Depeyrot 63/3. Toned, minor doubling, a couple scratches, minor deposits. Good VF. Extremely rare. Only one noted in Vienna by Depeyrot in his 2004 corpus with these obverse and reverse legend breaks paired together. One other in CoinArchives (CNG 108, 16 May 2018, lot 707 (hammer $7,000)). |
