APPLIQUE. Himyarite. C. 1st Cent. BCE – 2nd Cent. CE. (48 mm x 37 mm). Gold applique of embossed sheet in the shape of a stylized square with extensions from the center of each face of the square. Centrally, the head of a bull faces forward, its horns held high. Behind two ovals form a background. To either side of the square in their own fields, a solar disk within a circle is present. Piercings corner of the central square, each of the extensions are also pierced twice.
