ANGLO-SAXON, Primary Sceattas. Circa 690-710/5. AR Sceatt (11mm, 1.31 g). Series C2, type 2b variety. Mint in Kent. Radiate bust right on pyramidal neck; A to left, T and runic æpa to right / 'Standard' with central annulet and four bars spiraling around; crosses at sides, bars at corners. Sceatta List 4-50 var. (rev. elements); MEC 8 Series Cb; North 41; SCBC 779. Tone. Good VF. Extremely rare with this reverse.
