ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 710-750. AR Sceat (10.5mm, 1.10 g, 3h). Series R (or late C) imitation. Uncertain mint. Diademed bust right, trefoil on cheek, with triangular neck; long cross to right, quatrefoil below chin / ‘Standard’ with T•T II; cross above, chevron to right, uncertain controls in other margins. Unpublished, but cf. SCBC 813 (and 779) for prototype. Dark toning. Good VF.
