The Triumvirs. Octavian. 28 BC. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.88 g, 6h). Uncertain mint, perhaps in Cyrenaica(?). Bare head right; lituus behind; CAESAR to left, COS • VI to right / Crocodile standing right with jaws open; AEGVPTO above, CAPTA below. CRI 430; RIC I 275a; RSC 2; BMCRR East 243-4; RBW –. Attractive iridescent tone, a few light marks. Good VF. Well centered. Rare. A beautiful coin in hand.
