PHOENICIA, Arados. Uncertain king. Circa 420-400 BC. AR Third Shekel (16.5mm, 3.13 g, 12h). Laureate head of Ba’al-Arwad right, with frontal eye / Galley right above waves; M A (in Aramaic) above; dotted square above, linear semicircle below; all within shallow incuse. E&E-A Group III.1.2; HGC 10, 40. Lightly toned, light porosity, a couple scratches and small flan flaw on obverse. VF. Well centered on an unusually broad flan for issue.
