Crowned bust facing, wearing consular robes, holding mappa and eagle-tipped scepter with cross above it / Large M; A/N/N/O to left, X/X to right; Christogram above; Γ//CON. DOC 44c; MIBE 68d; SB 495. Dark green to black patina with earthen highlights/deposits, roughness. Near VF. Double-struck on obverse to produce a 180-degree mirror-image of the bust. Interesting. |
